Aspiring Young Artists Program (AYAP)

Art Classes for Kids up to age 12

AYAP provides young artists with tools to develop their visual art skills. Program goals encourage an interdisciplinary approach to creativity and creates a solid foundation for visual art techniques. This program also encourages portfolio development in a fun and supportive environment.

  • Children experiment with a variety of media to determine where they want to focus their attention.
  • The program then branches off into areas of specialization so they can then concentrate on one area.
  • Classes are set up in two terms and run once a week for 22 weeks from September to April.
  • A final art exhibition is held at the end in April.
  • All classes are held in studio 118 at the Williams Building, University of Saskatchewan, 221 Cumberland Avenue, Saskatoon.

Our Instructors vary according to the class. Each comes with talent, content expertise and the love of teaching kids and teens.
