Leadership Development Program (LDP)
LDP is the foundational program for the Advanced Leadership Practices Certificate.
This program qualifies for 32 hours of elective credit in the Certificate in Adult & Continuing Education program.
Everyone can be a leader. This program unearths the leader in all of us.

Effective leaders bring out the best in people. They are trustworthy, confident, promote personal growth, take risks, and serve as a role models. Leaders are needed at all levels of an organization and the optimal scenario is to have all employees take on a leadership role. Over 500 leaders working in private and public industries as well as profit and non-profit sectors have benefited from this skills-based experiential program.
This program provides a foundation for all our offerings. It is flexibly designed to help you balance learning with work and life.
The Leadership Development Program offers
- Client Centred Design: LDP was designed through extensive consultation with business and leadership specialists in Canada and the United States. This program is aligned with today's best leadership knowledge and practices.
- 360° Leadership Assessment: You will complete a 360° leadership competency assessment (Leadership Practices Inventory) to help you identify your leadership strengths and gaps.
- Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI): Learn about your personality type and others through the Myers- Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI), which describes your personality as a collection of preferences for how you are energized, how you take in information, how you make decisions, and how you choose to relate to the world.
- Innovative Learning Approach: Based on contemporary principles of interactive and experiential learning techniques, LDP will build knowledge, skills, and attitudes through group participation, practice, self-assessments, reflection, and up-to-date materials.
Saskatoon and Regina Offerings
- In Saskatoon: Twice per year in fall and winter. This eight-week program involves three-hour evening sessions (6:30 pm–9:30 pm) once a week for six weeks. The first and last sessions are extended (8:30 am to 4:30 pm) and include lunch.
- In Regina: Once per year in spring: this five-week Leadership Development Program involves five full-day sessions (8:30 am to 4:30 pm) once a week for five weeks. Each session includes lunch. The same material is covered in the five-week program as in the eight-week program.
